We’re nothing without the incredible individuals who make up our hardworking team. In an effort to recognize each member of our team and spotlight their unique stories, we’re going to be highlighting a different team member every month to share a bit more of who they are.
This month, we’re spotlighting Nichole Hamelbeck, our Senior Business & Quality Analyst. Read on to learn more about how her career started, who keeps her busy after work, and what an ideal day off looks like for her:
Describe your experience before joining the Emergent Software team
After earning my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics at the University of Minnesota, I started my career journey at a small mobile gaming company called Concrete Software as a Tester. I worked there for 6 years going from Tester to Test Lead, to Quality Assurance Manager, to a hybrid Scrum Master / Product Owner. From there I have had Scrum Master roles at a few larger companies before deciding I needed a change.
What drew you to join Emergent Software?
I wanted to be back in a small company with changing demands and to be able to learn new things from a group of high-quality coworkers.
How do you fill your time outside of work?
My time outside of work is filled with my family. My wife and I have 3-year-old twins that constantly keep us on our toes.
What is your favorite TV show?
The West Wing – it is probably time for a re-watch.
What does your ideal day off look like?
A nice relaxing day either binge-watching a show or reading a good book.
Where in the world would you most like to visit?
Go to Iceland to see the Northern Lights!
Thanks for sharing your story with us and being a fantastic member of our team, Nichole! We’re so glad to have you on board. Stay tuned for future spotlights of the great people who make up Emergent Software!
