At Emergent Software, culture is the foundation of how we work, grow, and show up for one another. We believe great outcomes start with strong relationships, mutual trust, and a shared commitment to doing meaningful work together. Whether we’re collaborating across time zones or gathering in person, everything we do is rooted in connection, curiosity, and care for the people behind the work.
Emergent Connect: Building Relationships That Power Our Work
Once a year, we bring the entire company together for Emergent Connect, a multi-day in-person experience designed to strengthen the relationships that power our work.
When we held our first Emergent Connect five years ago, there were just 17 of us in the room. Today, we’re more than 130 strong, spanning countries, disciplines, and backgrounds.
At its core, it’s a celebration of our culture.
Teammates from across the U.S., Mexico, Brazil, Guatemala, and beyond spend time together face-to-face, sharing meals, solving problems, and learning from each other.
Inside Emergent Connect 2025:
Take a look at how we brought our team together to connect and celebrate our 10-year milestone.
“First and foremost, the number one thing we want to do here is foster authentic relationships with each other.” — Jamie Anderson, Founder and CEO
Driven by Curiosity, Collaboration, and Impact
Our culture attracts people who are:
- Naturally curious
- Collaborative by default
- Generous with their knowledge
- Committed to serving others
We hire experts, trust them deeply, and get out of their way.
A Remote-First Company Built on Connection
Emergent Software is remote-first, designed around our people and how they work best. It’s a choice that reflects our commitment to building a culture rooted in trust, flexibility, and balance. By prioritizing culture over location, we’re able to attract the right people and empower them to do the best work of their careers without sacrificing flexibility.
But remote-first doesn’t mean disconnected.
From day one, our priority has been to build a culture where people feel seen, supported, and part of something bigger.
Because the truth is simple and said best by Jamie Anderson: “People are not a company’s most important asset...the right people are.”
And when the right people are aligned around shared values, remarkable things happen.
