A boutique consulting firm partnered with Emergent Software to design and launch a new SaaS product aimed at delivering comprehensive business health assessments for small business owners. Emergent Software was engaged to bring this vision to life, leading the strategy, design, and implementation of the entire platform. The engagement spanned multiple components, including a public-facing website, a mobile application, and a customer relationship management (CRM) system. Despite the complexity of the requirements, the full solution was developed and launched in just six months.

The Solution
Emergent Software architected a modern digital platform using Microsoft Azure as the cloud backbone and Umbraco CMS for content management. This allowed the team to build a solution that was both scalable and flexible, meeting the client’s immediate goals while also leaving room for future expansion.
The Umbraco-based website was designed to support both public and gated content. General users can access educational resources and introductory information, while authenticated users gain access to deeper, more personalized assessments. This structure enables the app to offer value at every stage of the user journey, from first visit to in-depth business analysis.
A key feature of the platform is its dynamic scoring and content targeting engine. Emergent implemented a complex analysis model that evaluates input data from users and generates a customized business health score. Based on that score, the platform delivers specific content recommendations and insights tailored to each user’s needs.
